The William Donohue Ellis The Bounty Lands typescript is the original marked typescript for a novel about settling the Western frontier’s Bounty Lands published in 1952 by the World Publishing Co. in Cleveland. Printed on Superior Manifold paper, the typescript is marked with penciled line-edits and notes to and from the editors.

Biographical / Historical
William Donahue Ellis was born in 1918 in Concord, Massachusetts. While working on a radio program called "The Ohio Story," Ellis found so much information while doing research that he created a trilogy of novels: "Bounty Lands," "Jonathan Blair: Bounty Lands Lawyer," and "The Brooks Legend." He is also the author of "The Cuyahoga" a definitive account of the river and its importance to Cleveland.
